Dear CFD-friends,
I wonder if anyone knows the Strouhal number for any wing section (preferably NACA 0012). For a cylinder the Strouhal number is roughly 0.2. St=F*L/2*PI*U where F is the frequency and L and U is a characteristic length and velocity respectively. Which values for L and U should be used for a wing section, chord, thickness of the wing section or the boundary layer height at the trailing edge?, freestream velocity?)? Thanks/ J. Held |
