I have done experiments on flow visualization of impinging flow on the wall with a great swirl velocity.
In detail, I set up a test rig with 3cm diameter fan for cpu cooling and a transparent flat plate under the fan to take a picture. At first, I make smoke by burning paraffin with somke generator and I direct smoke with tube to the fan inlet. I can see some smokes after fan outlet but hardly I can take pictures of smoke after fan inlet. I think the strength of wind id too string enought to see the somke with eyes or by taking pictures. So, I wanna know the method for flow visualization.. of micro cooling fan for PC processor, without any special apparatus..I have only a smoke generator, a camera and a camcoder. The velocity of flow is 1[m/s] so it is too low for usual flow visualization methods. thanks |

There are too many typos. So, I rewrote it. Sorry..

I cannot help directly but I have seen this sort of problem discussed fairly often on the sci.mech.fluids newsgroup. It may be worth repeating your request there.
