Boundary layer meshing problem in Gambit

Hi,
I noticed that whenever I perform boundary layer meshing on faces which are in contact with the boundaries, the entire geometry will end up getting meshed instead. Examples include (for external flow problem) a cylinder with one end touching the inlet boundary, and another end touching the outlet boundary; and geometries halved at the symmetry boundary. How do I mesh the boundary layer for the selected faces only? |
