Singularity of grid?Volume meshing vs face meshing

Hi.
I'm currently at the stage of meshing my object. In my project, my area of concern is the external flow around the object. May I ask whether is it sufficient to do only face meshing on the surface?? Because I heard from some that if only face meshing is done, the mesh when exported to fluent, can't be read as an object and will have problem. Face meshing is for the purpose of doing cooper type hex structured volume meshing??? Another problem I may like to ask is about singularity? how does singularity of a grid point esp at the centre of a circular disc affect the meshing of the object? is it critical? how to avoid that? |
