LES Reference (for practical implementation)

Dear all,

Could you advise on a paper or book re convergence issues in LES, in particular criteria re 1st and 2nd order statistics (what parameter to monitor, what characteristics does it have to reach so that one can exploit numerical results). I am particulalrly interested in smaller scale turbulence in the wall region, so have been monitoring shear stress fluctuations so far.
