Hi guys, need some advices on the boundary conditions on simulations of aerofoil. I have managed to mesh out the airfoils together with the computational domain. My domain consist of a semi circle encompassing the aerofoil and two rectangles downstream the airfoil. I am wondering is there any steps to define the boundary conditions as I am looking for the flow transition point. Do I have to select the turbulence model such as k-e or laminar? Please advice.

Its hard to visuvalize the field without a plot. Usually one part of the farfield is defined as inflow and other part as outflow. If you want to observe transition point (to turbulence ?), ensure to use a RANS model which has the ability to capture transition accurately.

Thanks a lot..Do you have an experience on CFX? My side just got hold of this solver and I am completely new to it. would appreaciate much if you could shed some light on this software. Many thanks!
