implementation of the Immersed Boundary Method

I'm starting a project that involves single and two-phase flow with complex (irregular) solid boundaries. I want to use a Cartesian grid and represent the solid boundaries using the Immersed Boundary Method. I have already read some papers about the IB method. The direct-forcing method of Mohd-Yusof seems more suitbale for my application than Peskin's original version of the IB method.
I wonder if anyone has an open source 2D code illustrating the implementation of the IB method. Do anyone know any source (paper/report) from which I can get some initial ideas about IB coding? I will prefer finite difference discretisation of the governing equations. Thanks in advance. Mag. |

Does it support movement of solid bodies. Also does it support immersed boundaries in general polyhedral framework. |

Hi Frank,
Have you tested the case of flow past the circular cylinder, especially about the grid test. Quote:

I read your paper on IB & it was really helpful. I have a question regarding the implicit NS formulation given in your paper. I couldn't find any other way to communicate you. My mail id is
mebiswajithit@gmail.com please reply...
