Being new to CFD I'm seeing a lot of very specific questions on these boards. Not knowing the capabilities of the software packages discussed on these boards, nor having used either of them, I am looking for one that can import a 3D model from say AC3D Studio and run a full 3D aerodynamic flow simulation of a complete airframe. Additionally, do any of these programs feature airframe stress calculations?
Is this even possible on a (powerful) PC platform, or is it necessary to run it on a cluster? We are talking experimental general aviation class here not full-blown commercial jetliner, mind you. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks |
