Default Chemical reaction rate in enthalpy equation

Hi, all:

I'd like to ask a question regarding the chemical reaction term (sometimes it is also called volumetric heat release rate) in the enthalpy equation.

I found that, in most cases when EBU combustion models are used, this term is omitted. Is this omission due to the nature of EBU models. And if i want to take into account this term, do i have to use the LFM combustion model?

Thanks for any advice

With the EBU combustion model the definition of the enthalpy includes the chemical potential, and so no heat release term appears in the enthalpy equation. The term is eliminated by combination of the species and energy equations under the assumption of a simple chemically reacting system(SCRS).
