Because I doubt if there are enough ICEM CFD users to support such a forum and reach critical mass. Feel free to ask you questions here though - I've used ICEM Hexa for several years.

I am also interested in their software. But I do not know the reliability of their meshes for complicated geometries. How about the automatic re-mesh capability? Thanks!

If ICEM is eligible for another forum, a few forum should be opened before that happens.
I think enough is enough. Even the main forum does not seem to be really active recently. I think it would be better for this site have a forum such as ANSYS or ABAQUS so that cfd-online can extend its area to other applications, if any. Or it could have a meshing forum. -Selina |

Sure, feel free to do that. Another way to assess the need for an ICEM forum is to search the discussion forum archives to see how many messages there are about ICEM.

Having spoken the ICEM CFD product manager we think its a good idea to have an ICEM CFD forum. In terms of software revenue we are the largest software grid generation company. If anyone wishes to ask me technical questions they can always direct their questions towards me.

Hi,
As a new user of ICEM CFD, I have been looking for a users forum without success, and happened to stumble across this message. I would certainly like to see this forum come into being, especially to compare notes with other users of the ICEM Pro/Engineer Interface. |
