Hi,
I have written a code in three dimensional cylindrical coordinate using SIMPLE and Multigrid method for incompressible flows. I want to validate my code but I don't know the good numerical examples for steady and unsteady flows. Can someone give me the usual examples and references to validate the code for cylindrical geometry flows? Thanks in advance. zouchu |

A good example is fully developed laminar flow along a pipe - Poiseiulle flow. There is an analytic solution for this flow, so it's an excellent first test case. You'll find the solution in fluid mechanics text books.
