What sort of comparison are you looking for? A great deal of work in this line has been done in the last 10 years under the heading of "Integrated Test and Evaluation" for the testing of aerospace vehicles. You may want to look for the website of the ITEA (Integrated Test and Evaluation Association). NASA has also been heavily involved.
