visualization methods

Hi, there:
Does anyone know how to visualize a meteorological phenomenon like tornado or cyclone by computer technique currently? I prefer to OpenGL. But any other software works better I'd like to adopt. Thanks for your valuable advice! CB |

If you're looking for vortex eduction, very impressive work has been done in this area at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. For example, see:
