can anyone tell me, if there is a code using unstructured grid which simulate free surface flow with the VOF free surface capturing. And in the case that this solver exist on how many cell the free surface zone is defined? Thanks

Amongst other, Flo++, Star-CD, CFX 5, Nabla/FOAM all use a very similar VOF technique that captures the interface over 1 to 3 control volumes on arbitrary shaped unstructured control volumes.
