Hallo All
In the literature and on the web I have seen a lot of investigations regarding mixers with the mixing device positioned in the middle of the mixing vessel. But have any one experience with the mixer positioned off centre. Regards Bo |

Hi BO,
I ve done this kind of simulation. THis kind of non axisymetric mixer is often found in defloculation and aeration. From CFD point of view model handling is not very different from axisymetric mixer except that : you can't use any periodic condition you must take into account impeller/tank interaction with a sliding mesh or a MRF model. Best regards Alain |
