CFD Events Calendar, Help Needed

CFD Online will soon launch a CFD Events Calendar. The calendar is based on a database which makes it easy to find events that match your interests. It is possible to "triangulate" based on a number of different criteria (location, type of event, application area, special field, software, ...). I hope the new service will be useful.
Before the official release I need help to fill the database with events. So far I have registered about 70 events. I hope to have a couple of hundred events in the database before the official launch in a week. If you have some spare time and would like to help CFD Online please take a look at the calendar and see if you know of any CFD related events that are missing. If you find missing events you can use the online form (click on "Post New Event") to register them. Any help is highly appreciated! A pre-release of the new events calendar can be found here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Events/ If you notice any bugs please let me know. Everything is brand new so there might still be some problems. Thanks in advance! |

Hi Jonas,
This Events page is a great idea. You may wanna check the American Physical Society webpage for more events info. http://www.aps.org/ Some events are totally not related to CFD and Fluid Dynamics, but you'll find 2 or 3 events that are of interest. Sincerely, frederic Felten. |

Thank Frederic! If you, or someone else, have any suggestions on which of these events that should be included please let me know.
I also received several suggestions on events by email. I'd be very grateful if those who suggest events also could try to use the online form to submit them to the calendar directly - that saves me a lot of work and probably also makes the event descriptions better. The calendar would really benefit if we could make this a community effort where everyone submits events. If only I submit events the calendar will be biased towards my interests, and it is almost impossible for me to stay up-to-date with all CFD events in all different application areas. |

Thanks again! I noticed that you submitted the first event - I have moderated it and it is now available here.
I also submitted the second event myself. You can find it here. I'm not really sure if the "Application Areas" and "Special Fields" that I marked are appropriate for the scope of this conference. If someone has any better suggestions feel free to change them (I left the event record without a password so anyone can suggest modifications). |

Thanks, I submitted the first ACOMEN 2002 conference. You can find it here. Please check if the application areas and special fields that I marked are appropriate - if not you can change them easily with the online form (I left the event without password so anyone can suggest modifications).
About the second event. The web-page didn't have much info - is it a conference or just a meeting? Scope? |

I think that you managed to change the application area. All modifications have to be moderated before you can see them online though. I have moderated your change now. Thanks!
