I did some work on this field, but not special for axial flow machines. There are some examples (mgeg-movies) and papers on my home page (http://www.beilke-cfd.de) .

If you are interested in the rotor stator interaction of a turbomachine than you have to run a transient sliding mesh calculation of the complete machine for most cases.

Hi Apurva, I believe the von Karman Institue for Fluid Dynamics be given a site visit.impeller-volute interactions in centrifugal and axial flow [turbomachinery]-Dr Van den Braembussche.email-vdb@vki.ac.be good luck.
