NUMERICA

A Library of Teaching and Development

Source Solvers for Scientific Computing

Author : E F Toro

NUMERICA is a library of educational and development source numerical solvers for mathematical, engineering and scientific problems. So far the library contains 60 source codes for solving hyperbolic partial differential equations using shock--capturing methods; the theoretical bases of the numerical methods used are found in the two textbooks by E. F. Toro, namely, "Riemann Solvers and Numerical Methods for Fluid Dynamics", Springer--Verlag 1997, 592 pages, and "Front--Capturing Methods for Free--Surface Shallow Flows", John Wiley and Sons (to appear, 2000).

NUMERICA is to be released by March 1999.
