Help with liquid-liquid multiphase litterature

I am a graduate student, and I would like to ask for tips on good litterature (books or articles) covering the problem of modelling flow of two or more liquids that flow in separate layers (for example the VOF model). I would like an overwiev of the problem and descriptions of the different methods rather than just applications where the models are used. If you know of some good litterature on the subject, please let me know! If there are any litterature available online it would be even better. Thanks.

Try
http://t3.lanl.gov/gabe/secondlevel/codes/ripple.htm This is the documentation for the ripple code, which uses VOF with a bunch of new ideas. These guys are usually very thorough in building the backround for their methods. Good luck! |

Start by using the search in the main forum. You will find alot of discussions and links...
I can give you good articles about each method, however I'm not too familiar with one that compares all of them. Its easier if you state your application, then the method of choice is usually easy to pick... If you want papers to read on-line try: Zaleski's homepage VOF Sussman's homepage LevelSet Trygvasson's homepage Tracking Gosman's homepage High Resolution The links are easy to find just search for them... Search also the Journal of Computational Physics, you will find alot of articles on the subject there. |
