hi,
i am currently doing a simulation on curved channel flow (rectangular cross section). to verify my simulation results, i need to compare my simulation results with those of other investigators. but the problem is : where can i get numerical results of other investigators since in papers, only graphs are given ? any sources or suggestions are most appreciated. thanks. yfyap |

(1). It's more than enough for me. (2). But you could try to get the related reports because the paper sometimes is the condensed version of the detailed report. You can find the report in the reference section of the paper. (3). You could also try to contact the authors, if they have not moved since the publication of the paper. These approaches are better, becuase there are always questions to ask.

This a very common test case for turbulence models and has very likely been performed as part of a "benchmarking" exercise. If so, then the geometry, boundary conditions and results (if not a blind test) will have been distributed electronically. Try digging about the ERCOFTAC site for instance.
An alternative is simply to e-mail the authors and ask for the electronic results. Most are more than willing to see their results being used. However, be aware that some data will be owned by industrial sponsors and not the author's institution and so they may not be allowed to distribute it. |
