We are students studying in Aligarh(INDIA). We have developed a 2-d FVM code to solve problems. but when we are taking runs at re=10000 the grid requirment is very high. The code is developed in "C" language on linux platform. This platform cannot support large dimension arrays i.e beyond 135*135. suggest me the ways so that we can increase the allocation on linux .

Which compiler are you using? Linux is a 32bit OS, meaning you have an address space of 2^32 (roughly 4 giga-bytes). In general Linux has no problems with large dimensions (unlike DOS, with its funny 640MB base memory).
