HI,
We are using pseudo-compressibiliy method for solving heat trasnfer problem. We are using SST (Menter 1994) turbulence model and the code is giving convergence and good results for mixed convection in a driven cavity. However, the code is not converging for Natural convection problem (Ra = 10^11)(The results for Laminar cases are excellent in aggreement). At present we are doubting the convective flux calculations (at present central differencing with fourth order dissipation is used). We would like to know whether we are thinking in the right direction or not. Also if someone can suggest some better way of handling the whole affair. Thanx Lokesh |

Hi, I had some experience about Pseudo-Compressibiliy method, when I worked at Japan(6 years ago). I felt that the result of P-C method is very depended on the Pseudo-Compressibiliy corfficient( usual call BATE).Please try to change the value of BATE, you may get a good result. wei zhang
