Does any body have any experience with the diagonally implicit runge kutta method? I have seen it used for chemically reacting flows. Does anybody else have any comments about the methods?
Thanks, Tony |

I guess I will answer my question, with many holes remaining in the answer.
It seems the the hypersonic group at UCLA used this method in conjuction with operator splitting to solver hypersonic nonequilibrium flow. I still don't know what benefits this method gives over a standard implicit method, like runge backwards euler for CFD. |
