Has anybody done anyform of analysis on vortex breakdown or on anything relating to a diffuser.

I need a source of inspiration / added information on the above stated topics.

You may want to talk to experts at Air Force Research Lab/Wright-Patterson for the vortex breakdown calculations and to researchers at NASA/Lewis for the diffuser analysis.For integral analysis of diffuser performance, researchers at Stanford university would be the right place to start. These two seemingly simple problems are very difficult to handle. No current turbulence model can handle accurately the flow separation on a smooth surface.
