Hello Everyone:

I have a fluid and heat transfer question.

Suppose I have two fluids under study. Let's say they are flowing over a row of cylinders.

I will be getting a comparison of their performance by looking at non-dimensionalised pressure drops and nusselt numbers.

For the two systems to have a similar behavior, they need to have same Reynolds and Prandtl numbers.

I can maintain same Reynolds number by playing with the velocities. How can I keep Prandtl number the same for both the cases?

Thanks,

Thomas

This could be a solution. Since the Prantl number is indepedent of the flow, Use these dimensionless numbers: -Reynolds -Peclet=Prantl * Reynolds
