PRONG is on a distinguished road
Does the applicable condition of the Taylor freeze hypothesis require that turbulence be isotropic? Or just homogeneous turbulence is ok?
According to <Turbulent Flow>(Pope), '......This method is applicable to statistically stationary flows in which (at the measurement location) the turbulence intensity u′ is small compared with the mean velocity <U>', is there any parameters to quantify the conditions under which the assumptions are used?
Thanks
