Hello everyone,
I am working on gas turbine combustion simulation (non-reacting flow for now).

After grid independent test, my cell numbers are close to 8Million. If CFL is fixed as 0.3 or 0.5, delT becomes 2E-7 [s] for hexahedral mesh and 2E-8 [s] for polyhedral mesh, which consumes more computational time (due to lack of computational resource) to reach the converged solution at t = 0.5 [s] .

Compromising the accuracy, I don't like fix the delT close to 1E-6 or lesser than that. However, I am in a situation to get my results as soon as possible.
Is there any other way to handle this situation?
Kindly share your thought please.

Thank you

The accuracy order does not depend on the cfl value.
If you are interested to a steady state just use an implicit scheme.
