Hello martin, there are few simulation software which provide tools for multi phase simulation but they are not really dedicated to metal 3d printing or additive manufacturing simulation. I have been using AM PravaH which is all dedicated to additive manufacturing process laser powder bed fusion or LPBF and it gives promising results when validated with experiments.

Thanks for your response, Just saw it online, It does look good, I don't think many people are using it. I have requested for demo, but as many people are not using it, I don't know whether or not i should be buying it.

Yes martin, it's relatively new in the market but the physics it captures is more realistic with less assumption, hence I feel it will be a better choice. I would recommend you to take a demo and figure it out yourself if it fits your technical requirements.

Certainly! Here are a few popular simulation software options for metal 3D printing:

1. **ANSYS Additive Suite**: Offers a comprehensive set of tools for simulating metal additive manufacturing processes, including thermal, mechanical, and residual stress analyses.

2. **Materialise Magics**: Provides advanced features for data preparation and process simulation, helping optimize metal 3D printing workflows.

3. **Simufact Additive**: Focuses on simulating and optimizing the metal additive manufacturing process to predict and mitigate potential issues.

4. **Altair Inspire Print3D**: Includes capabilities for process simulation, including thermal and mechanical aspects, to optimize designs and processes for metal 3D printing.

These tools can help with optimizing the printing process, reducing material waste, and improving the final part quality.

Hi Martin, did you get the AM PravaH software? I have been using the software myself... So far it has been very interesting and helpful for my work related to the lpbf melt pool analysis and new alloy development. What are you thinking to use it for?
Let me know if you've already got your hands dirty on the software. Would love to have a chat about the same!

Yes, we actually did it few weeks back. so far no complaints, impressed by the result. Still a lot to cover. How long has it been for you?

Great to hear you’re impressed with the results! I’ve been using AM PravaH for a few weeks now, and it’s been fascinating. One feature I’m really excited about is its advanced thermal analysis tool, which provides real-time insights into melt pool dynamics. It’s super helpful for understanding how different parameters affect alloy properties, especially in LPBF processes.

I’d love to chat more about your experience and what you’re planning to use it for! Let’s catch up soon!
