Hello everyone, hope you are doing well
I want to generate a prism on my geometry which looks like a gearbox, but although the geometry quality is ok I keep getting this error: prism terminated prematurely! I searched a bit and found out it would be because the layers on different faces of the surface encounter each other, I dont know if I could properly explain what I mean but here is images of the geometry what should I do to generate a prism around this surface???? for now I generated density around it, but I know it wouldn't work as prism I would appreciate any answers Screenshot (202).jpg Screenshot (199).jpg |

I found the solution, for those who are seeking an answer, you need to edit your geometry and deselect the surfaces in the middle and choose a name for the new surface without the middle ones, then in ICEM try prism on the new surface. I attach a pic to clarify what I mean by middle surfaces and also a pic of the mesh with prism.
hope it helps 1.jpg Screenshot (204).jpg |
