turbo_machinery26 is on a distinguished road
If I were to model a film using the standard Eulerian multiphase model or the Eulerian Wall Film (EWF) model, what is the functional difference between them?

I understand a bit of the basic theory of the Eulerian approach in that it solves separate mass and momentum equations for each phase and that the Eulerian Wall Film model is some sort of simplified model for thin films, but not much beyond that.

Further, why can the EWF model only be used in 3D? And as a bonus, when I hear reference to the 'Eulerian Thin Film Model' (ETFM), is this the same as EWF?
