Does anybody have CFD/FEM related links using MATLAB? I've been working on postprocessing 2D result from a CFD code I have with MATLAB and I've been relatively succesful (in my opinion) and I'd like to get hold of more tools for CFD/FEM which use MATLAB.

I think, MATLAB has powerfull software to get online visualization of the computation result and we get smooth graphic line. It have an advantage for online visualization. However, it have a detriment that the code developed can not compile to executable file. So, we need always the source MATLAB to run code.

I think you'll find that the MATLAB compiler can generate standalone code that can run independently from MATLAB.

Istadi, I'm aware of the strengths and weaknesses of MATLAB and you're wrong: MATLAB has an optional compiler that allows you to translate your MATLAB code to C/C++ code. check out their homepage http://www.mathworks.com

anyway-do you have links to MATLAB CFD/FEM codes or utilities?

I have build the source code for CFD/FVM or CFD/FDM, but I have not yet build it in MATLAB code. So, as I know that MATLAB can't be compiled to executable file. If you can do it, please tell me about it. Must we convert the F90 code to C++ to get the executable file ? Is it easy to do ? Thank for your oppinion.

As far as I know you write the code in Matlab and the converter translates it into C++ which is then compiled. i suppose if you had code written in F90 then there'd be no reason to go the MATLAB route. if you want more info you should go to http://www.mathworks.com
