Hye, currently I'm doing my Final Year Project about computational investigation on maneuvering of ship using HEXPRESS & NUMECA FINE MARINE that involve AGR and overset since my project include rudder motion and also ship maneuver. I used C-Wizard parameters setup for seakeeping option. A zmax and zmin was assigned as prescribed pressure while others boundary condition was assigned as far field for the rest of background domain and overset for hull domain. The total meshing of this project is about 10 million. Then, I run a parallel simulation with 10 number of per partition. But, when I run the simulation, the solver is crashed and the error is about 'NaN found in residuals' and something about memory allocation error. So my question is, do we need to use AGR for overset computation ? I really appreciate if anyone have any idea about my problem. Here i attach with the picture of the error.

Attachment 97072

Thank you.

This is your third post in 20 min here. This is not a help desk. Edit your own posts if you want to add information to it.

Your simulation diverges, there could be anything wrong. With the given information no one here will be able to help you. Make sure to do the tutorials provided with the software which are closest to the setup you are investigating. Why do you think that increasing the number of cells helps your solver to not diverge?
