Hi, there. No idea where I should put the post.
I'm about to compile a software to simulate the fluid flow around a PDC bit in drilling engineering. Here's what I'm about to do. 1. code the GUI 2. import the bit profile from UG or Solidworks designs with filetype of stp or iges 3. call some opensource code to generate the mesh and setup the boundary conditions and initial conditions, export the mesh 4. call some opensource code to solve the fluid flow and postprocess. My question is, are there any opensource codes I can use to generate the mesh and perform the CFD calculation? Openfoam is not considered right now. for Gmsh, there may be some problems with mesh export. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. |
