Hello everyone, I am currently working on modelling blood flow inside blood vessels. I am considreing a laminar flow and the blood as newtonian fluid.
One of my goals is to develop a model of dynamic venous drainage i.e vessel collapsing under external pressure and pushing the blood to the outlet and then getting filled again from another connected vessel. I have developed a 2D model of the vessels but for the moment the vessel walls do not move. I want to include the vessel contraction under external pressure. In order to do that I will start by imposing a sinusoidal movement on the vessel wall and study its effect on the fluid. As I am new to CFD, I would like to have some insights on where to begin in order to simulate the contracting vessel wall with LBM. I have seen some examples suggesting coupling with immersed boundary condition but my understanding that this only applies to moving obstacles inside a fluid. I would appeciate some insights on how to approach the problem using LBM. Thank you in advance. |
