Hi,
I am trying to evaluate the motion of a free floating solid on water waves. The object is homogeneous and can have a simple shape like disk or prism. The waves are generated far away from the solid, as plane linear monochromatic waves. For example the water surface can be h=h0+A sin (omega t-k x). Water can be deep and wave amplitude (height) small. The problem is all linear, only linear approximation. If this is not done yet, maybe the study of a rigid solid (nondeformable) floating on water waves can be done, and then refine the material. I would highly appreciate any help and direction. Thank you so much, Andy |
