I have installed FreeCAD/CfdOF (OF V2206 on Windows 10) and was wondering if I could use the existing installed version of Openfoam to run cases outside of FreeCAD/CfdOF application? If so, please give me guidance (link) on how to run it. I have downloaded few tutorial cases that I intend to run without installing a different (standalone) version of OF. TIA!

Yes you could run the OpenFOAM solvers separately.
But why would you do that? If the GUI works correctly for you, then use it. But if you want to always run any new OpenFOAM solvers which may not be immediately supported by the GUI, then install them separately, and run them separately. |
