Where is vorticity located on a staggered grid?

The question is in a title. I am solving the NSE on 2D grid. Thus there is only one component of the vorticity. Is it stored at the cell center like pressure?

Ok thanks. Now that I think about it, the vorticity will be at the cell center due to taking derivatives.
