Hi CFD-Online Community,

Nowadays I am trying to learn the thermal management of electrical components and PCBs on my own. Until now I have done some university projects with Fluent, CFX, and Solidworks. But I haven't had any experience with thermal management yet. Which simulation tool would be proper for a beginner? or could you make a brief comparison between softwares based on your experience?

Thank you in advance...

Hi basar,
There are many tools available. Main two tools are Ansys icepak and flotherm.

In my opinion, the best in this field is scStream/HeatDesigner of Cradle CFD.
