Hi guys does anyone have a link for a Horizontal Wind Turbine 6DOf simulation tutorial on Ansys fluent with watertight geometry? I have found nothing when searching online and on youtube. My main issue is with the setup, dont really know how to correctly setup my 6DOF settings.
Thanks.

Hello,

What part of the setup are you specifically having issues with?

Have you seen this thread: https://forum.ansys.com/discussion/3...vof-simulation
It depends on which version of Fluent you are using. There is a video in that thread that may be helpful to you.

Basically im using watertight geometry and the generate volume mesh using tetrahedral method is not ending. Its stuck on refinning mesh for a very long time then fluent force closes. But i was told it is because the computer memory is used up and there is no more left for meshing (i have 16GB ram).
The part that i want to learn is that of 6DOF input in the setup, what angle of orientation to input, how to compute moment of inertia etc...

Btw i have another question. Lets say i made the min cell length 'X' and max cell length 'Y' when generating surface mesh. When i want to generate volume mesh must i also input the max cell mesh as 'Y' ? Or should it be higher or lower?
