Hi there,
I am currently running a coal combustion simulation in a tangential-fired boiler with the models below: -Energy - Turbulence (Realizable k-e) - Radiation (P1) - Species (Non premixed) - Discrete Phase I've ran the simulation for over 10000 iterations but the energy residuals are still at 10^-4 only. Im not sure if its suppose to take more iterations. The total nodes are about 300k. Also, I've noticed that when i use P1, the solution diverges if I the URF is 1. The highest i can set it to is 0.7. Is this okay? I also see plenty of messages as below: Minimum PDF table enthalpy exceeded in 1126587 cells on zone 5. Maximum PDF table enthalpy exceeded in 1283 cells on zone 5. I tried adjusting the maximum heat loss fraction (changed it to 1) and minimum heat loss fraction (changed it to 1) as well but to no avail. I dont know if this is the issue causing my energy residuals to not decrease. Apart from that, under the discrete phase model, am I required to set the Çustom Laws or leave it unchecked? If anyone has experience solving these issues, i would truly appreciate your help. Thanks. |
