I'm trying to simulate a propeller in 2d(simulation of the airfoil of a section of a propeller at 0.75R). I have considered a rectangular domain shown in the figure. The following figure shows the mesh The simulation has been carried out in two ways 1. Using rotational boundary conditions(created using TUI) at p1 and p2 in this case, we have specified frame motion to give angular velocity. After creating periodic boundary conditions I got an error as shown 2. Using non-conformal Periodic boundary condition, in this case, I got rid of the error with the mesh check, but the model is not converging and the values are not matching with the reference literature( Experimental results) Conditions: Inlet velocity = 237 m/s Exit Gauge Pressure = 0 Pa Rotational Velocity = 798 rad/s (only used in case 1) ideal gas is being used, For viscosity Sutherland model is used Can anyone suggest to me where I might be wrong in this simulation? Thanks in advance |
