I received this error when I was performing a mesh independence study. I was able to successfully run the first iteration (convergence with residuals, the mass flow was conserved, and the exit temperature reached a steady-state), but when I refined the mesh and attempted to re-run, I was given this error. I have researched some common causes online, such as making sure there is not a percentage in the folder name, but that is not the case. I've attached a picture of the error in the command window.
Any information on why this error could be caused would be great. To give some information about the simulation I am running, I am simulating a borehole for a Geothermal Heat Pump System. The geometry is a 5-degree 'pie-slice' and 4 horizontal layers (water, piping, thermal grout, ground - with 1 fluid region and 3 solid regions). I have attached a picture from the mesh to show the geometry better. The orange is the ground, green is thermal-grout, blue is piping, and grey is a fluid (water) region. It can be seen that shared topology is used. There is a total of 105,141 nodes in the simulation at the moment. I believe this error is something with the mesh because I received the error once I updated the mesh, however, I receive a green checkmark next to 'Mesh' in Workbench. Again - any information on this error would be helpful. If more details are needed they can be provided. Thanks! Last edited by brb40; February 4, 2022 at 16:37. Reason: Updated Images |
