Good day to you!
I'm implementing a FEM program to simulate acoustic fields around a body of revolution. I would like to consider an exterior problem and I have chosen PML as the way to model it. As far as I know, there are variations of it in cylindrical and spherical coordinates. However, I have been searching for considerable time the sources, which describe how to implement them, and all that was in vain. There are lots of materials which were dedicated to electromagnetics and structural mechanics, but not to acoustics. Also I couldn't have deduced their methodology to it: vector fields confuse me a bit, when I have to deal with the scalar field. My question is: is there any source (paper, book) which describes the PML theory for axisymmetric acoustics? Thank you very much in advance! |
