Is Mentor's standard K-Omega turbulence model can be used "as is" for simulating porous media/zone employing porous media model? We experience an increase in k and omega values in the cells close to wall boundary inside porous media. Any comments/information on this?

More than usual or is that just an observation? k and omega increases towards walls in all boundary layers, that's where all the turbulent stuff happen after all. |
