Hi Everyone,
I am modelling the 6DOF motion of a floating object on waves, therefore I have applied properties of mass and inertia tensor to object walls in dynamic mesh 6dof solver. I am facing an issue and not having any motion of floating object after simulation. Actually, the object is a wooden block and immersed 70% in water initially. It should move with wave propagation. I have a question related to motion attributes of the rigid floating body; I have only created 6DOF properties and mentioned CG of the body only, should I mention translational and rotational velocity in the dynamic zone? Because the motion of a body is dependent on waves and their forces, how can I apply these motion attributes? Below I attach two pictures of dynamic mesh and 6dof properties that I have applied here. I can also describe a model if more information is required. Kindly share your knowledge and views, any kind of suggestions and help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!
