Discontinuity in the equations

I wondered recently if the PDE's in the differential form could afford to have discontinuities .
I know that for shock wave analysis discontinuities can be accounted for . But to obtain integral forms , the discontinuities should be a part of them , so are there any corrective measures that we can take |
