Hello to everybody,
I'm doing simulations on a high lift wing of JAXA, in particular the JSM model, 60 m/s and MAC of 0.52m. I'm creating my model in ANSA and OpenFoam as solver, I'm comparing my results with experimental ones, I have good value for cl, cp, and cm but I am far from cd values from experimental tests. I was wondering if is possible that this is due to my boundary layers thickness? Because reading some articles about high lift prediction, who makes this type of simulation uses to create a boundary layer with 50 60 layers but because of my computational limitations I'm creating a boundary layer with 10 layers and as the first layer at 0.008m. Or maybe the fact that my cd is so underestimated is due to a bad mesh or bad boundary conditions? Thank you. |
