Good morning everybody,
I am doing a study of CFD in the nasal cavity. For this: 1. I have a CT of the sinuses and use Horos to create the .stl. 2. Before viewing properly in Paraview I had to study and resort to the installation of OpenFoam which implies additional installation of Docker Desktop and knowledge of terminal in C ++. I have resorted to a summary and after multiple attempts I think I managed to create the mesh for a CT scan of the sinuses, which is attached. Unfortunately I got stuck in the last step of that summary when trying to run: <pirun -np 8 simpleFoam -parallel> "[0] -> FOAM FATAL ERROR: [0] Continuity error cannot be removed by adjusting the outflow. Please check the velocity boundary conditions and / or run potentialFoam to initialise the outflow. Total flux: 57998.77 Specified mass inflow: 1.290576 Specified mass outflow: 0.3704303 Adjustable mass outflow: 0 [0] [0] [0] From bool Foam :: adjustPhi (Foam :: surfaceScalarField &, const volVectorField &, Foam :: volScalarField &) [0] in file cfdTools / general / adjustPhi / adjustPhi.C at line 110. [0] FOAM parallel run exiting " Assuming that the problem is in the U file, I had to try several options, however, either repeat the same error or provide another one (for example, by using the code from the work - OpenNOSE: an open-source procedure for the simulation of nasal aerodynamics): "[1] [6] ## 0 0Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) [5] # 0 Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) [4] [2] # 0 Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) # 0 Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) [3] # 0 Foam :: error: : printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) [7] # 0 Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) [0] # 0 Foam :: error :: printStack (Foam :: Ostream &) at ??:? [5] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) to ??:? until ??:? [1] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) [0] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) to ??:? [2] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) to ??:? [3] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) to ??:? [7] # 1 Foam :: sigFpe :: sigHandler (int) to ??:? " My doubts: a) How can I overcome this problem with the U file? Best Regards César Anjo PS: I have installed XQuartz but when trying to run in the terminal: <paraFoam> it gives me the following error: "Created temporary 'paraview_xviii.OpenFOAM' open QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/ tmp / runtime-ofuser' QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display " I have already researched and I cannot find a way to correct this error as well. |

Hello, I have met the same problem. Have you solved it? I want to discuss it together

It seems related to reconstruted mesh - in checkMesh - 1 mesh error

Good morning,
I don't have the complete answer, but you came in the right time as i did return to this issue last week. I think the problem is in the reconstruded mesh as written in: Foam::error::printStack(Foam::Ostream&) with simpleFoam -parallel It goes well until i reconstructed my mesh which has 1 mesh error so the parallel failed. After that i tried to use another simplier .stl file (download from the web) and it did run without errors. So i think you need to <checkMesh> and confirm. If you have the same problem can you help me in discover how to prevent this 1 mesh error in reconstruted mesh? Best regards |
