Hi,
I am running a simulation of a rotating cylinder in "frame motion". I would like to export data from a centerplane at standstill in the rotating frame. Plane creation seems only possible using coordinates in the standstill "absolute" frame. Is there an elegant way to create and export from a plane: moving in the standstill frame / stationary in the rotating frame? Sketch attached. Thanks! Lohengrin |

Hello,
By 'rotating frame', do you mean you would like to export the data in cylindrical coordinates? |

Hi aero_head,
Thanks for the message. Exporting the data in cylindrical or cartesian coordinates is not the problem. I want to create a plane that also rotates, whereas the "plane creation" tool in fluent makes a plane that has an absolute velocity of 0. Regards! |
