Hello All.
I've given a flow using pressure inlet and it's calculating. I've also turned the energy equation on in the beginning. Now, I'd like to stop the flow and continue the simulation to check the heat transfer for the next x minutes. How can I do this? Can I interrupt the simulation and change the pressure and outlet as a wall? Or any alternative? Looking for suggestions. Thank you in advance. |

Hello,
Yes, you can stop the simulation from solver manager, if required. Be aware that you can check the files while the simulation is still running and even implement changes with the simulation still running. If you really want to stop it, as long as you are not monitoring anything (CFX-Pre will warn you that no restarts can be performed), you can start the solver from the previous files, and select the most recent .trn file if it was a transient simulation and it will continue where it left off. The residuals will spike at first, then return to normal after a few iterations. |
